IT Park: The place for Call center and IT industry in Cebu City |
It's the 55th day of my ICS Volunteering journey. We are sending another wave of Sponsorship letters to different restaurants and establishments around IT Park.
Team CAD is ready and we divided the team into two. Janice and Sofia and Mike and I together with Michelle and Rommel. There are many classy restaurants in IT park and were just being hopeful that they would be kind to support our upcoming camp.
Amazed by the beautiful ceiling of the restaurants we visited. |
Me, Janice, Michelle and Rommel went ahead to go to Southwestern University to meet up with Sir Chai to personally ask if we can leave the tickets and posters for the Film Night. Also to propose the schedule to check the AVR room to have our CDs tested as well as the date for the Film Night.

Sir Chai is one of the Board of Directors of GVSP and the Assistant Dean of the Graduate Studies of Southwestern University. He is very supportive to the PWDs especially the Deaf community. We also asked the help of the Student Body and one of the officers gave us the name card of the current president of the organization.
Super Delicous Buko Juice! With 5 Deaf employees. |
Ronnie and Sofia explaining about next week's Pop Quiz for a Cause! |
Sofia, Ronnie and I had a short meeting with Cebu Trivia Night (CTN) before the pop quiz for the night started. We were able to meet Alexis, Jewel and Leica who are the people behind the CTN! Ronnie gave them sign names and they were very happy about it!
After Ronnie and Sofia finished giving their speech. A guy approached us and gave us 500.00 saying he might not be able to be here next week so he is giving his donation now.
Me, Mike and Jess! ICS Volunteers - the HOT Deaf Team! |
We were one of the teams who joined tonight's pop quiz. My British co-volunteers were super awesome! They answered most of the questions!
During the set of questions about sign language, the people around were saying "Nalingaw ko!" which translated in English as "I am enjoying!". We are very hopeful that our upcoming fundraising here at Alejandros would be very successful and may we be able to raise more awareness about Deaf Culture. :)
