Day 32: Team Meeting and FSL Lessons

Monday, March 18, 2013

It's the 32nd day of my ICS Volunteering Journey. Today is another Monday which means it's a team meeting day. We shared about our updates on what happened the previous week. I talked about my experience in doing a lecture using Filipino Sign Language.

Upcoming Events. Its a nice break from work after the straight days planning and preparing for the Leadership Training Seminar we just had last weekend. Our MPR schedule was finalized on April 4-7, 2013 in Bantayan Island. On Sunday, we will be having the host home day which will give opportunities for our host families to get more involved in the program. Next week's team meeting will also be in Kawasan Falls which is part of another Social Activity.

Our team meetings are usually held at Get Fit
which is a restaurant near GVSP office.

MPR Sessions. After the meeting, the MPR committee decided to plan for the sessions on April 4, 2013 before we leave for Bantayan. I choose the Counterpart Pairs session to be facilitated with my counterpart Isabelle. We are to submit the activities for the session due next week together with our most memorable photo.

FSL Lessons. We changed our FSL lessons schedule from a Sunday to Monday afternoon after our team meeting. Jera taught us new words which included fruits and names of different countries.

Its about 7 weeks before the end of the program and I wish that I could progress more in the upcoming days. Learning FSL is a life skill that I can surely bring with me and share it to others. I will keep on trying. I will keep on learning.
